What to Expect at Your Personal Color Analysis

When you arrive for your color analysis we’ll spend a little time talking about what your chief challenges or desires are for the analysis. What is it you want to discover or solve?  I’ll then cover your hair with a neutral-colored scarf—especially if you dye your tresses—and place a smock of the same neutral color over your clothes. Then the personal color analysis will begin.

The Sci-ART personal color analysis process I use is a very methodical system of draping a series of colored fabrics on you, next to your makeup-free face. I’ll be constantly comparing effects, to see clearly which are more positive. The Sci-ART method is based on the science of color and human vision. The 12 seasonal color groupings in our system were created from Albert Munsell’s 3-dimensional system that classifies colors by hue, value, and chroma —the three components of how we perceive color. My training involved several days spent one-on-one in Prince Edward Island with a master and author, Christine Scaman. You can learn more about her at 12Blueprints - Wear The Colours That You Are!

The draping typically takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours. When it’s complete we’ll talk about your colors: how to recognize, wear, and shop for them. I’ll give you a printed guide to your colors, which will take you further in your journey of self discovery. I’ll also give you a color palette, and I’ll show you how to use it when you review your current wardrobe and shop for new items. If you desire, we can spend additional time talking about choosing makeup.

The Be You Personal Color Analysis studio is a separate, private, neutrally colored room in the upstairs of my 1911-era home in the quaint Monteith Historic District of Albany, OR. It’s not far from I-5, OR Hwy 99W, and OR Hwy 20. When you book your appointment I’ll send you more information about what to expect and how to prepare for the appointment.

“I appreciated Anne's professional style. She was so welcoming and graceful. She was excited to take me through my color exploration. My wardrobe was heavily a black and white combo that I enjoyed. Then, I experienced my own realization of now a new reveal with color. It was so me! It happened. I actually saw it before my eyes. I felt great. My energy is going to change as I evolve into my own personal color palette adventure!”
